San Antonio Express-News highlights six writers at it’s 28th Annual Book & Author Luncheon
Love a good story? How about photographs? Lessons in history?
This year’s San Antonio Express-News Book & Author Luncheon offers these and so much more for lovers of books. The luncheon slated for Wednesday, October 23, will be held at the Grand Hyatt, 600 E. Market Street.
Six authors will each make a short presentation during the luncheon. Three of the authors have a Texas focus, another is a Texas author who writes about mysteries set in the United Kingdom, and one author has written a cookbook that touts Southern recipes. The children’s author book is titled, “When a Kid Like Me Fights Cancer”. To learn more about the authors and their books, click here.
Book sales will open at 9:30 a.m. and the luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. Reserve your spot by Wednesday, Oct. 16, so you don’t miss this popular event. Attendance is expected to reach over 1,100 attendees. If you have any questions, please call (210) 567-1206 or email Book&Author@uthscsa.edu.
Proceeds from the Book & Author Luncheon benefit the Early Discovery Clinical Research and Cancer Therapy Programs at the Mays Cancer Center, at UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center. To date, the luncheon has raised over $4 million. Individual tickets are $90 and may be purchased here.
