Having a goal to strive for and a strategy to reach it can really spur success. And now that we’re midway through the year it’s the perfect time to see if we’re on track to meet the goals of the SA Cancer Council.
The Council’s mission is clear: To support leading-edge research and patients at the Mays Cancer Center, home to the UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center. For 2019, the goals center on the number 400.
400: That’s the membership target we’re aiming for in 2019.
400K: That’s the Council’s fundraising goal for 2019.
So, where are we? Membership is over half-way there with 280 current members. And thanks to the Spring Luncheon and the fundraiser led by Rudy’s Country Store and Bar-B-Q, we are also more than halfway to our fundraising goal of $400,000.
We have more work to do and we’d love to invite you to help us. With six months left, we encourage each member to invite just one friend to join us in our fight against cancer, which allows us to reach our membership goal.
And with the next fundraiser slated for fall – the Cure Cancer Card – along with our Circles of Hope, which supports research, we can also meet our fundraising goal.
All the funds raised by the Council stay in our city, helping individuals and families who live and work here. Help us stay on track to meet our goals!
